Pachliopta is a papilionid butterfly (swallowtail) Ref for ID:www.flickr.com/photos/7471152@N07/3411411654/You can see the adult butterfly emerging from its chrysalis from the same series at:www.flickr.com/photos/balakrishnan_valappil/3410600991/in...This is very interesting, because the plant it has eaten half of is reckoned to be poisonous, so only certain butterflies can use it as a host, and as yet the plant is unidentified.
