"La papallona zebrada (Iphiclides feisthamelii) es troba a totes les zones temperades d'Eurà sia, de Portugal fins a la Xina, tot i que és abundant només a certes regions. Encara és relativament comuna al Prepirineu, especialment lluny de les zones de concentració urbanÃstica. Ãs una de les papallones més grans d'Europa. S'assembla molt a la papallona rei (Papilio machaon) i totes dues són d'hà bits semblants. Ãs una espècie que ha desaparegut a certes zones a causa de l'excés d'urbanització. La xuclallet té franges blanques i negres, que fan que també se la conegui com a ""papallona zebra"". Té unes taques nebuloses blaves als marges de les ales inferiors i dues taques de color taronja amb unes lúnules blaves i nebuloses al costat de les ""cues"". Aquestes prolongacions de les ales són caracterÃstiques de les papilionidae. Les erugues són de color verd tendre. Mengen, preferentment, les fulles de l'arç blanc, el presseguer, el cirerer de guineu, l'aranyoner, l'albercoquer, la prunera i l'ametller. Duen unes ""banyetes"" de color groc que són l'osmeteri, un òrgan que pot emetre un lÃquid pudent per espantar els enemics. Les crisà lides de la xuclallet passen normalment l'hivern en estat d'hibernació, i són molt vulnerables als depredadors."
