There are probably three (or even four?) subspecies of Barn Swallow found in Korea gutturalis (presumably most common), mandschurica (uncommon), saturata (??), and tytleri (rather rare and very red below). The individual in your image looks like an intergrade between ordinary gutturalis and tytleri, and is therefore likely a mandschurica. / Nial Moores

One of at least two birds swirling around above Victoria Park playground. They have previously nested under the roofs of the shelters by the playground but the old nests have been scraped away, presumably by council staff. I could see no sign of new nest building.
