Gymnocarpium dryopteris (Western Oakfern) is a species of perennial herb in the family Cystopteridaceae. They are native to Western North America, Greenland, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Alaska, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have pinnatifid leaves. They have alternation of generations.
