Gossypium hirsutum (Upland Cotton) is a species of tree in the family mallows. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, and Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii. They have loculicidal capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 0.41 m.
