Penstemon spectabilis—showy penstemon. Native to the Transverse and Peninsular ranges of Southern California into Baja California. The Theodore Payne Foundation calls showy penstemon, "A must for any drought tolerent garden." Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Park Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
