Penas et al. missed the fact that the name Turbonilla candida de Folin, 1870 is invalid because it is a junior homonym of T. candida A. Adams, 1855. Thereby, accepting the synonymy established by Penas et al., the valid name is Syrnola etiennei (Dautzenberg, 1912).
