On my kitchen window. This is likely Crambidia pallida or perhaps Crambidia uniformis--reading the discussions and perusing images at BugGuide, I'm not convinced the two can be told apart from photographs.Wing chord (estimated) was about 10-12 mm on this individual, which would favor C. pallida, according to some references. Antennae are slightly pectinate, those of C. pallida are said to be simple in both sexes. Still, this is a difficult genus to separate to species--various references speak of undescribed species as well.
From my trip to Thailand - May 28th - 4th June 2011, most moths were found at the various temples which had metal hallide bulbs fitted to them. The ones labelled 'Hang Dong' came to my 22w Actinic light. Please feel free to help aid identification or correct my proposed identifications.
I have no idea what king of bug this is, but he really caught my eye. It looks like some kind of moth. Now, of course I am going to have to look it up and see if I can find an ID. 2012/366/267 9/29/12 Update - Well, I think I found it: Tiger Moth (Ectypia clio). Have to give a shout out to Jim Braswell @ShowMeNature for a lead on figuring this out!
