Description:
On my kitchen window. This is likely Crambidia pallida or perhaps Crambidia uniformis--reading the discussions and perusing images at BugGuide, I'm not convinced the two can be told apart from photographs.Wing chord (estimated) was about 10-12 mm on this individual, which would favor C. pallida, according to some references. Antennae are slightly pectinate, those of C. pallida are said to be simple in both sexes. Still, this is a difficult genus to separate to species--various references speak of undescribed species as well.
