I didn't realize that these had wings! I had only seen them under rocks and never really looked at them closely... Will try to get it down further by browsing bugguide later on.

If I didn't look closely to see the ""forceps"" at the tip of the abdomen, these could be confused with the small rove beetles which were also abundant that evening. TL ~7 mm. (This was a Lifer family of insects for me, bringing my World Earwig Life List up to 3 spp. Woo-hoo!)"
