Galeocerdo cuvier (Tiger Shark) is a species of modern sharks in the family requiem sharks. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are solitary omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 50 years and can grow to 750 cm. Reproduction is iteroparous and ovoviviparous.
