Carcharhinus falciformis (Silky Shark) is a species of modern sharks in the family requiem sharks. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN. They are solitary carnivores. Individuals are known to live for 23 years and can grow to 350 cm. Reproduction is iteroparous and viviparous.
