Summary[edit] Description: Acar domingensis (Lamarck, 1819) - exterior of left valve of the white miniature ark, 2.65 cm across at its widest point, from San Salvador Island in the Bahamas. Family Arcidae (Jurassic to Holocene) - the ark clams are filter feeders, principally inhabiting shallow, warm- to cold-water marine settings. Date: 17 February 2011, 18:11.
