Thick shell, up to 5 cm, with low spire and 5 rows of small granules at anterior end of whorl. Colour red with a mottled white band around the shoulders and across the body whorl. Aperture white. Habitat: loewr eulittoral, often under boulders. Distribution: Indo-Pacific. (Richmonf, 1997).
