We saw a few on the fences by the Kelso Dunes parking area. Some were cooperative, others retreated into the creosote. Only ones we saw on the trip.

A male Long-tailed Brush Lizard that had been caught on the ground, in stead of on the branches of the nearby Creosote bushes. He was temporarily placed inside a plastic bag, to prevent caudal autotomy and to allow for a better view of his belly and throat colors, before his release back into a neighboring Creosote bush with his potential mate.

Saw this lizard in a neighborhood in Palm Springs. It was out in the front lawn of a house, on a fence made of concrete that also had plantings in it.
