This kingfisher appeared in a totara tree with a frog in its bill. It moved around in the tree over several minutes, beating the frog against branches. Once it dropped the frog, and went down to the ground to retrieve it. Eventually it flew away with it, so I don't know if it swallowed it. Seen through binoculars, the frog appeared to be Litoria raniformis, which is the species I've seen at this location previously.

This kingfisher periodically stops by. This was the first time though I have seen it in one of our trees, normally just on the power lines, where it flew to as soon as I opened the house door.
