Malvern Hills (Worcs / Herefordshire Border) I was amazed to see two Red-billed Choughs on British Camp Hill in Saturday 27th July '19. This is only a second record for both Worcestershire (1836 in Tenbury Wells) and Herefordshire. I did not have my camera! Not wanting to add to the mayhem by returning...here is one I photographed in Islay, Scotland, in it's usual coastal habitat. 2nd Photo by Michael Colquhoun (Herefordshire Bird Recorder) on Herefordshire Beacon.

Summary[edit] Description: English: Red-billed Chough Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh, India. Finally, I could have a decent shot of this bird in Himachal Himalayas, after failing in the pursuit for past many years. This bird is always fascinating to a layman & the trekkers. They are surprised to know a crow with a red bill (bill shape unlike that of a crow) & red feet & with not-a-crow like call (far carrying & penetrating nasal 'chaow.. chaow') existing in Himalayas. From a distance, it will appear like a Large-billed Crow only as the curved red bill & feet etc. are not that visible or one doesn't pay much attention. Picture is that of an Immature bird, with bill still not getting its red colour. Taken at Tilla Lotani Camp (12,500 ft.) during Sar Pass Trek in Himachal. Date: 9.05.07. Source: Own work.
