"Matema has two large hornbill species. Trumpeter Hornbills live in the trees along the lake shore and probably further away. The Crowned Hornbills are more mountain-bound. I have seen them rarely in the ""lowland"" trees. Sometimes, one pair or small group comes down. But they are quite easy to spot and hear in the slightly higher parts of the village and in the montane forests."
