Caprimulgus europaeus (Eurasian Nightjar) is a species of birds in the family Caprimulgidae. They are found in the palearctic, the indo-malayan realm, and Afrotropics. They are nocturnal. Individuals are known to live for 11.9 years. They have parental care (occasionally breeds cooperatively).
