Corals are circular, helmet-shaped, up to 76 mm in diameter with a concave undersurface. Primary septa are thick and exsert around the mouth. Colour: pale cream or brown. Abundance: rare, found unpredictably on lower reef slopes and inter-reef habitats. (Veron, 1986 <57>)
