I didn't realize that these had wings! I had only seen them under rocks and never really looked at them closely... Will try to get it down further by browsing bugguide later on.

"There were several of these on the sheet at the blacklight. If I didn't look closely to see the ""forceps"" at the tip of the abdomen, these could be confused with the small rove beetles which were also abundant that evening. TL ~7 mm. (This was a Lifer family of insects for me, bringing my World Earwig Life List up to 3 spp. Woo-hoo!)"
