big fella, 7 inches long at least! I saw 6 or 8 of them happily hopping around in the rain. Now more than 48 hours of continuous rain. Sure wish we could get some of this in Texas! I sit on the covered deck here or at another nearby location and take photos of wet birds or look for moths on the wall. See several of these literally every night when I walk the dog this time of year.

This is a another toad that seems to have been passing through the garden. Some of them appear to take up residence in one of the drains for a few weeks at a time before disappearing. Others, like this one are only seen once before moving on... The cat found this one and was quietly observing it in the dark (at about 20:30) when I came upon them both... This individual appeared to be an older and larger one... approx. 180 mm in length.
