Cane Toad floating in a puddle on Pipeline Road in SoberanÃa National Park, near the Limbo River. About 20cm from nose to rump. Sapo de caña en un charco en Camino Oleoducto en el Parque Nacional de SoberanÃa, cerca del RÃo Limbo. ~20cm.
I came across this large toad in the night (@ approx. 20:00) on the concrete slab below the house. He(?) was quietly sitting(?) adjacent to the drain in which I have previously seen up to five toads lurking in the water. He remained motionless, except for his throat fluttering with his breathing, for more than five minutes while I took some photos (with a flash and a torch). I estimate the body length to be 120 - 130mm long and the weight to be 250g or more.
