Maximum longevity: 35.9 years (captivity)
Observations: Gestation times of 95 and 96 days were reported in Zoos. When there is a delayed implantation, the total pregnancy time is on average 214 days (Ronald Nowak 1999). One captive specimen lived 35.9 years (Richard Weigl 2005).
