Maximum longevity: 12 years
Observations: Although these animals normally do not live more than 4 years in the wild, it has been reported that females can live up to 11 years (Ronald Nowak 1999). Other reports suggest a maximum longevity of 12 years (Fisher et al. 2001), which is plausible.
