Habitat
provided by World Register of Marine Species
In Robert Island (South Shetland Islands), the species was collected from a rocky shore during low tide, in the lower intertidal fringe, amongst the alga Gigartina skottsbergii Setchell & Gardner, 1936. In Doumer Island (Palmer Archipelago), the species was collected from the intertidal down to 30 m deep in the subtidal seabed zone, reaching the highest densities between 12 and 20 m depth, which corresponds to a zone dominated by species of the red algal genera Iridaea, Plocamium, Ptilonia, and Callophyllis.
