Synonymised with Lepidasthenia by Gravier (1905) and listed as such in Hartman (1959, 1968) and Fauchald (1977) listings, retained by recent others. Salazar Vallejo et al. (2015: 25) follow others in treating it as a valid member of subfamily Lepidonotinae (& not in Lepidastheniinae). They do not review the species that have been placed within it.
