Cervus nippon (Sika or Shika in Japanese), related to the Asian Red Deer (thanks to Ishi for the ID!).
There are so many deers in Nara's parks, this male was in the darkest place, so I used my flash and got a surprising result.

We found these eggs in a sandy and dirty coast south of Tel-Aviv. The plovers were flighing above us, screaming. After very short photographing we left.

Great and pygmy Cormorants are common winter visitor and the pond of the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens. It was nice to see this one on the snowed rock. Snow ocmes only once or twice a year to Jerusalem, so it is a rare and exctiting event for us.
