Summary[edit] Description: The three-birds toadflax. If you look closely at the flowers they do look a bit like little purple budgies, but there's a lot more than three per inflorescence. This species has the largest flowers of any linaria that i'm aware of - more like an antirrhinum with a tail. Date: 2 June 2009, 18:27. Source: Linaria triornithophora purple. Summary[edit] Description: The pink version. This species grows extremely well on the impoverished sandy soil of the garden where I work, either in full south-facing sun near the house or in semi shade among the rhododendrons where it has become a bit of a weed.
