Immature since wings are not fully grown. Not certain if this is femorata. Might be declivis. The size was much smaller than adult declivis that I have seen. Looks like it was sucking juices from a spent golden rod bloom (see original size).

11 August 2015: Observed a Florida Leaf-footed Bug (Acanthocephalia femorata) perched on a tall native plant growing by the side of the Onion Creek Trail at McKinney Falls State Park in Austin, Texas, not far upstream from where the Upper Falls are located. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) administers McKinney Falls State Park.
