Potamothrissa whiteheadi (怀氏河棱鲱) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family herrings. They are associated with freshwater habitat. Individuals can grow to 4.7 cm.
Africa: only known from the type locality on the Hombo River (Lualaba drainage, upper Congo River basin) in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 93833)
