La especie tipu ye Ancyluris pyrete Hübner, 1819, según designación posterior realizada por Scudder en 1875.^[4]^[5] ^[6]^[2]

Diversidá

Esisten 15 especies reconocíes nel xéneru, toes elles tienen distribución neotropical.^[7]

Plantes güespedes

Les especies del xéneru Ancyluris aliméntense de plantes de les families Euphorbiaceae, Melastomataceae, Simaroubaceae, Vochysiaceae. Les plantes hospederas reportaes inclúin los xéneros Hieronima, Miconia, Conostegia, Simarouba, Vochysia.^[8] ^[9]
