Maximum longevity: 4.5 years (captivity)
Observations: One captive specimen lived 4.5 years before being released in the wild (Richard Weigl 2005). Anecdotal reports suggesting these animals live more than 5 years (Ernest 2003), albeit plausible, have not been confirmed.
