Saw this insect crawling in my office. It looked like a dusty ladybug that had zero spots and a black color. Keyed it out using discoverlife.org. Placed it in the Nature Gardens after I took the insect's photo. Temp: 72F (in my office) Time: 11:00 a.m.

I am unsure what the little white insect on this Black-eyed Susan stem is. Based on @cgritz's suggestion, I believe it might be the larva of a Mealybug Destroyer. It was among red aphids, which all disappeared in short order after this creature appeared. 84F, partly sunny, humid.

The white furry critter on the left appears to be some kind of mealybug. I'm not sure what is on the right but it might be a caterpillar or bug that attaches debris for camouflage.
