Description: A little leaf-cutter bee goes bottoms up for nectar on a Carolina redroot (Lachnanthes caroliana) blossom. It's a perfect fit as the bee's pollen-collecting belly (scopa) rests upon on a stamen. The bee gets her reward and the pollen is carried to another plant.
