Summary[edit] Description: Sceloporus chrysostictus Merida, Yucatan, Mexico This reptiles are quite common around here. Found this one basking on a rock. When I approached, it hid under some leaves and stayed motionless, hoping that I did not notice him. Luckily I noticed its tail and was able to spot it. It stayed there for a while, and I could get some pics. Date: 6 February 2010, 09:08. Source: Sceloporus chrysostictus. Author: Maximilian Paradiz from Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Summary[edit] Description: Sceloporus chrysostictus Female I found this one basking early in the morning. It let me get quite close to take the picture. Probably because it was still waking up and kind of sluggish! If it is a S. chrysostictus, then it's probably dark in color to get heat quicker, and it gets lighter in color as it gets warmer. Also, notice how its body is flattened in order to absorb even more heat. Date: 2 October 2009, 20:00. Source: Sceloporus chrysostictus. Author: Maximilian Paradiz from Amsterdam, Netherlands.
