This guy was was one I missed posting the first time around. This guy was one of the many pollinators I was able to take photos of. It was a black creature with a red butt and white and yellow band on it the upper part of its thorax. It was a pretty big wasp type thing. It was one I had forgot about. I was just very interested in this one. I had seen similar species but I don't recall seeing this one before.

Blue-winged Wasp. Larvae a parasite of the Green June Beetle and Japanese Beetle. Wish I could tell you more about the foodplant -- all I know is that it's one of the plantings in the butterfly park, and it looks like it's in the mint family.
