Summary[edit] Description: As with most Polygonaceae, and especially the annual species, this genus and species has a predilection for disturbance-prone settings. The mostly 5 bracts with hooked tips that form a cylindrical involucre and perianth that is yellow combine to distinguish this species from close relatives, particularly Chorizanthe brevicornu.
