In house. This species very common outdoors but occasionally wanders inside.

I think this is a cockroach.

Locality: NEW ZEALAND AK, suburb of Saint Johns, University of Auckland Tamaki Campus. Habitat: Under lid of empty compost bin, at margin of level 1 main carpark. Identification: Drymaplaneta heydeniana (de Saussure, 1864). Adult male.

Fairly commonly seen in the dunes at Ocean Beach, on a par with the more common cockroach.

Under lose bark of dead red matipo Myrsine australis.

Solid Black wingless cockroach about 30mm long. NZ Cockroach? I saw a couple out in the dry grass of the sand dunes on a very hot day.
