Summary[edit] Description: Introduced,perennial, spreading herb rooting at nodes; stems are striate and hairy. Leaves are lanceolate to ovate, 3–4 cm long, 10–20 mm wide, bright green above, grey-green below, and toothed or shallowly lobed. Flowerheads consist of solitary heads or cymosely arranged heads on long naked peduncles. Peduncles are at first short but lengthening when in full flower, up to 30 cm long. Outer involucral bracts each subtend a ray floret; inner bracts are often purple and each subtends an outer disc floret. Ray florets are 5-6 and pale yellow, rarely white.
