This is a parasite on Acacia trees. It occiurd in the Arabian deserts and in northern Africa. In Israel it reaches its northern border. The beautiful flowers are open in mid summer (today 36 degrees) and are pollinated by Palestine Sunbird.

Plicosepalus acaciae is a semiparasyte growing on acacia trees. Previously I posted a flower picture, http://www.treknature.com/gallery/photo128548.htm
This time I managed to see the fruit. The fleshy fruit contains sticky seeds, they are glued on bird's beak. The birds try to get rid of it on a branch, thus dispersing the seeds.
