About a dozen of these small fish were seen in a quiet pool along the Russian River mainstem south of Sunset Beach. The individual shown swimming in shallow water is about three cm long. Are these minnows or fry of larger fish?

these were about two to two and a half inches in length, swimming in a small creek that is not much more than a drainage ditch. Water must have come up from the bigger creek below during a rain; think they may be trapped in their now unless we get another big rain
