H. annulatus is the least common of the sea perches and is not often seen. This is due in part to it's habit of living upside-down "suspended" from the roof of caves. Like a bat, but underwater. This photo was taken at Shark Point in Sydney.
Tasselsnout or rock flathead are ambush predators with a big mouth, purple colouration and lots of cool camouflage patterns. This one seems to also have pirate ship tattered sails for a dorsal fin
