Dendrochronological sample, with annual rings from the period 1585-1698 AD (heartwood only), in a crosscut of Oak (Quercus robur) grown on Öland, Sweden and used in a cabin build in a special wood building technique (sv:Skiftesverk, de:Bohlen Ständerbau). The board was about 8 cm x 50 cm, but this is only a selection. The original length of the image is 22.7 cm (1200 dpi).
