I found this larva (L: ~1.5cm) beneath the loose but intact bark of a living tree (possibly Damar tree, Dipterocarpaceae) in the tiny patch of lowland rainforest called Dungus Iwul in the west of Java. Next to this larva there were a couple of Handsome Fungus beetles:
