Velella 25mm Rare here. Quite a few bluebottles, one or two by the wind sailors.

Found these by the hundreds on the beach.

Several small and tiny By-the-wind sailors washing up on the beach. The sea foam was particularly colourful but only lasted for a few seconds as the bubbles burst.

Possibly this as I found a blue button as well as the violet sea snail, so this may be part of the blue fleet. Having said that, I don't think it is as it did dswim for a while, but I do not know anything else this colour aprt from the blue bottle which I know it isn't. I know, shocking photos, but I put them up in the lope that something will help someone ID it :) The location name is not accurate - Reason
