Eastern Mud Snail Tritia obsoleta (= Ilyanassa obsoleta or Nassarius obsoletus), muddy sand at water's edge off trail at Salt Marsh Nature Center, Marine Park, Brooklyn, NY. Parts of this habitat were modified significantly as a result of the 2011-2-13 restoration (dredging & replanting Spartina alterniflora, removal of Phragmites, etc), and this specific spot does not exist or is inaccessible now.
