Found in rocky subtidal by Steve Lonhart in May 1998. This specimen is recorded in: LONHART, Steve Istvan, & Jeff W. TUPEN. 2001. New range records of 12 marine invertebrates: the role of El Niño and other mechanisms in southern and central California. Bulletin of the Southern California Academy of Sciences 100(3):238-248.
-
16:40 - Alan tentatively identified as Thecacera pennigera (Montagu, 1815). 15:00 - Unidentified sea slug collected on our dock today. (Gemma Dock, Eel Pond, Woods Hole). 3 specimens collected, largest is approximately 10 mm. Alan Kuzirian thinks is an Ancula but unable to determine species so far. Pointed out the set of appendages that are behind the gills at mid-body. This is stumping him.
