We have a healthy looking pair hanging out in a large rewarewa tree in our backyard. They have been there for the past few days and in the general area over the last few weeks. Hope they are nesting close by.

A pair of them in the tree tops. Kakariki appear to be regular inhabitants of Otari these days, I hear them, or see them flying high overhead, whenever I visit.

8.34-8.36am In the dying karaka trees by the Tree-top walkway near the info centre. I've moved the GPS to as close as possible. They were feeding in some trees nearby before they flew over for a closer look at us.
