Spent some time with the Trinity River Audubon Center folks in setting up a iNat project. It's off to a great start! :) After the meeting, I spent some time walking around the grounds for a bit. This is my entry for hummingbird week -- it's a bit lame, but still, evidence of chimney swifts! TRAC has this chimney that hosts swifts each year -- looking forward to seeing them when they come.

I estimate more than 50 birds dropped in there was many more at one point than I could count. Sunset was at 9:19 they started entering at 9:20 and they were finished by 9:30. It was partly cloudy but warm.

Poor photograph, but it was interesting and a bit scary to watch this Cooper's Hawk flying amidst the Chimney Swifts!
